WOW! Didn't realize it's been so long since I last posted. Training progress has been slow, but I'm working at it. Saturday I ran 5.4 miles. The first 2 miles were less than 10 min/mile pace. That was encouraging. Focusing on stretching the leg out in front and letting the surface carry it back (words of my physical therapist).
Just returned from a short run, short run in the snow. It had dumped a lot before I went out. At the start of my run there were little random flakes coming down, but a third of the way down the road it began to flurry, two thirds further down the road it started snowing harder. Before I arrived back home it was dumping again. It was kind of fun, except when the flakes hit me in the eye. That didn't feel so good. As fun as it was, sure am looking forward to "single-layer" weather. It's supposed to be in the upper 40's/lower 50's later this week and weekend. Yes!!!! Back to shorts and t-shirts.
School is going well. Finally have my 10key speed up to what it's supposed to be. The math class is still fairly easy. Next quarter I'll be getting into the classes I wanted Acct 170 and intermediate MS Office.
Still looking for work, a long with thousands of others.
Family is doing well. Husband and my oldest are still working . At this time, my youngest is more focused on getting through school and moving north. My son is looking forward to getting his Navy training. The only thing holding him up right now is a traffic ticket. With the two youngest ones gone, I don't think the oldest one will be all that motivated to move out. She'll have things the way they were before the other two came along. I mentioned that to her the other day - she just smiled and raised her eyebrows.
